These Terms & Conditions and End‑User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) form a binding contract between you (“you” or the “User”) and Aurora DAW LLC (“Licensor,” the owner and operator of Aurora DAW and AuroraDAW.com). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Aurora — or by checking the “I agree” box at checkout — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download, install, or use Aurora.
“Software” means the Aurora application, its code, interface, instruments, presets, plug‑ins, factory content, and updates. “Output” means audio, stems, MIDI, or project files you generate using Aurora. “Third‑Party Materials” means samples, sample libraries, virtual instruments, plug‑ins, AI model services, and other content or tools created, owned, or operated by parties other than Licensor. “Model Provider” means the artificial‑intelligence service you select for the composition step, whether it runs on your own computer or is operated by a third party.
Aurora is Windows‑only and is delivered as a downloadable ZIP archive. Before purchasing, confirm your system meets the following. These are the requirements published in the product's own setup documentation:

If Aurora will not run on a system that meets the requirements above, contact Aurora DAW LLC at the support email already published on AuroraDAW.com. All sales are final. There is no refund flow.
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of all applicable fees, Licensor grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your own music‑production purposes:
One device. The first successful login at AuroraDAW.com/login.html binds your hashed login code to one browser identifier and signs the license to this machine's hardware hash. The file is valid only on that Windows PC from the first engine open. A second browser profile, a second computer, or a copied license.json is refused. Aurora DAW LLC does not reset a device bind. There is no three‑computer allowance.
You must not, and must not permit others to: (a) copy, distribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or share the Software or your license code; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law; (c) modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Software; (d) remove or alter proprietary notices; (e) circumvent license, device‑limit, or activation mechanisms; or (f) use the Software to build a competing product.
The Software and all intellectual property rights in and to it — including all copyrights, trademarks, trade names, logos, code, design, factory instruments and presets, and “look and feel” — are and remain the exclusive property of Licensor and its licensors, and are protected by copyright and other laws of the United States and other countries. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Licensor. The “Aurora” name and logo are marks of Licensor and may not be used without prior written permission. This Agreement grants you a license to use the Software; it does not transfer any ownership interest in the Software to you.
As between you and Licensor, you own the Output you create with Aurora, and Licensor claims no ownership of your finished music. This includes rendered masters, stems, MIDI, and exported sessions. You may use your Output commercially, including for release and distribution, without paying Licensor any royalty and without further permission.
You are, however, solely responsible for your Output and its use, including ensuring you have all rights necessary for any Third‑Party Materials incorporated into it (see Section 7) and that your use does not infringe the rights of, or otherwise harm, any third party. Your rights in Output created during a six‑month term survive the expiry of that term.
Aurora composes using an artificial‑intelligence Model Provider, then renders, mixes, and masters that composition on your computer. You acknowledge and agree that: (a) AI‑assisted Output is generated probabilistically and may resemble or coincide with existing works; (b) Licensor does not warrant that any Output is original, novel, or free of third‑party rights; (c) the legal status and copyright‑eligibility of AI‑generated material is unsettled and varies by jurisdiction, and some Output may not be protectable by copyright; and (d) you are solely responsible for reviewing, clearing, and lawfully using your Output. Licensor is not liable for any claim that your Output infringes or misappropriates the rights of any third party.
Where you select a Model Provider operated by a third party, your use of that service is additionally governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for supplying and paying for any API access it requires. Licensor does not control, and is not responsible for, the availability, output, pricing, or data practices of any third‑party Model Provider.
Aurora ships no third‑party samples, loops, or instruments. The factory content included in your download — the Prism synthesis instruments, the Aurora plug‑in suite, and the Aurora factory drum kits — is authored by Licensor, and Native mode requires nothing else.
Aurora can additionally interoperate with, reference, or help you incorporate Third‑Party Materials — including commercial sample libraries you subscribe to, virtual instruments, and mastering or effects plug‑ins — that are owned by their respective rights holders and governed by their own licenses. When you enable Device or Hybrid mode, Aurora may read sample and plug‑in content already present on your computer and use it in a render. Licensor grants you no rights in Third‑Party Materials. You are solely responsible for obtaining, paying for, and complying with the licenses required for any Third‑Party Materials you use, including any restrictions those licenses place on commercial release. Licensor makes no representation that any particular third‑party content is included, licensed to you, or cleared for your use.
The public price is $20 per month, locked for six UTC calendar months from the confirmed Stripe purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; Aurora DAW LLC does not receive or store your full payment‑card details. After a successful payment, Aurora DAW LLC shows a login code once on the success page, then stores only a hash. There is no email resend and no second reveal. The Stripe success link cannot recover the plaintext.
The public $20/month offer grants a term of exactly six UTC calendar months from the confirmed Stripe purchase timestamp. After that instant the login code and offline license expire. Aurora DAW LLC does not operate refunds. Pricing is due to rise after this lock.
Except where a non‑waivable law requires otherwise, all sales are final and fees are non‑refundable, because the Software is a digital product delivered and activated immediately. The system requirements in Section 2 are published so that you can confirm compatibility before purchase. Applicable taxes are your responsibility.
Aurora runs on your own computer and does not require an account. Licensor does not sell or rent your personal data. Aurora does not upload your projects, your stems, your recordings, or your finished music to Licensor or to anyone else. There is no product analytics, usage tracking, or crash reporting in the Software.
The rest of this section describes exactly what does leave your computer, so that you are not relying on a general assurance.
a. Rendering, mixing, and mastering are local. Once a composition exists, every audio operation — synthesis, sample playback, mixing, effects, mastering, metering, and export — runs on your machine. No audio is transmitted at any point.
b. Composition sends your prompt to the Model Provider you choose. The composition step is the one stage that is not necessarily local. When you generate a song, Aurora sends the text prompt you typed, together with the genre, key, tempo, and structural parameters for that render, to the Model Provider selected in the app. If you select a model running locally on your own computer, that data does not leave your machine. If you select a cloud model, that data is transmitted to that third‑party provider and handled under its privacy policy. No audio, no stems, no project files, and no personal identifiers are included in that request.
c. Optional local library access. To let Aurora find samples and instruments already on your machine, Aurora can scan your local music folders and installed plug‑ins. This scan runs entirely on your own device and its results never leave your computer. The scan is optional: you may decline it on first launch, and declining does not affect your purchase or your use of Native mode. You may change this choice later in the app's settings.
d. Website login binds one device, then the engine is offline. You paste the one‑shot code and this PC's machine code at /login.html. Aurora DAW LLC stores a hash of the login code, a hash of a browser device identifier, and the machine code (already a one‑way hash of network adapter address, OS, and architecture). The signed license includes that machine hash. The engine refuses any machine whose hash does not match, including on first open. After that, generate / play / mix / master WAV work without AuroraDAW.com. Aurora does not send your hostname, username, files, or location.
e. Purchase and delivery. Your payment is processed by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy. Aurora DAW LLC does not email the login code. After website login, you download a signed license file to run the Windows engine offline until expiry.
f. No device reset. A second device presenting the same code is refused. Copying the license file to another machine fails. Aurora DAW LLC does not offer a self‑serve device reset.
Aurora is delivered as a downloadable ZIP archive, unlocked by the license code issued at checkout. There is no automatic updater in the Software. Updates are published by replacing the download; you obtain one by returning to the download page, presenting your license code, downloading the current archive, and extracting it over your existing installation. Your rendered songs and your activation state are preserved when you do so.
The $20/month term entitles you to updates Aurora DAW LLC publishes during those six UTC calendar months. Aurora DAW LLC does not commit to any particular release schedule, feature, or minimum period of continued development.
Aurora measures every render and records those measurements — including key agreement, timing, integrated loudness, true‑peak level, and spectral balance — in the session file, and displays a score and status indicators in the interface. These are automated measurements of signal properties. They are not a guarantee of musical quality, and they are not a warranty that any particular render will meet your standards or be suitable for release. A render may satisfy every measurement and still not be a song you want to use; regenerating and editing are normal parts of the workflow. Aurora is designed to let you edit and re‑render, and to export the session so that you can finish the work elsewhere.
Licensor makes one specific technical commitment: masters written by Aurora are limited to a true‑peak ceiling of −1.0 dBTP and written as 24‑bit PCM. No other quality outcome is warranted.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. Licensor does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or secure, that it will meet your requirements, that any third‑party Model Provider, plug‑in, or sample library will remain available or compatible, or that Output will be of any particular quality or free of third‑party rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICENSOR AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR MUSIC/PROJECTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. LICENSOR’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Licensor and its officers, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Software; (b) your Output and your use of it; (c) your use of any Third‑Party Materials or any third‑party Model Provider; or (d) your breach of this Agreement or violation of any law or third‑party right.
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach it, and Licensor may suspend or terminate your license for breach. On termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the Software. Termination or expiry does not affect your ownership of Output you already created, and does not oblige you to remove or withdraw any release. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4–7 and 11–18) survive termination.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction and you consent to venue there, except that Licensor may seek injunctive relief in any court to protect its intellectual property. To the extent permitted by law, you and Licensor agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity and not as part of any class or representative action.
Licensor may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes — including any change to what data leaves your computer under Section 9 — will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and Licensor regarding the Software and supersedes prior understandings. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted. Licensor’s failure to enforce any right is not a waiver.
